The EP Best Wishes to All by Lofiuser is a multiphasic firework of eclectic guitar play, overdriven synths and four-to-the-floor hailing from the Boston folk-rock scene; a sort of new style which longtime scene member Jeff Murray aka. Lofiuser himself coins Pyscotronic.

Evil Kliq is a loose squad of music addicted memes that pushes and shoves the doodlings from Professor Kliq. The track All Control by Professor Kliq has been originally released on Of Men and Machines; a co-compilation between the two netlabels Audiovisual Theorem and rec72 back in 2009.

Pixel Mixel is the new full length album by Bitbasic containing 11 tracks of playful and melodic Electronica. On his 40+ minutes album he's been touching the various styles such as Drill 'n' Bass, Nu Breaks and Intelligent Dance Music. Something for the ladies and gentlemen on the dancefloor indeed but also thought to be heard under your headphones!

Biography Bitbasic

London-based Bitbasic aka. Simon Haycock, has released several EPs and albums through other netlabels such as Monotonik and Testpilot Music before; Bitbasic started his musical adventures at the age of 15. Playing out with a laptop and 40h monome, Simon uses his self-written software 'dj64' which modells a mixer and two turntables virtually.

As the music magazine Drowned in Sound has coined Bitbasic's virtuosity "in nodding to the likes of Nathan Fake, Four Tet and Paul White among others, Haycock is [...]bringing together equally excellent and equally diverse genres and wedding them into a sound distinctly his own."

Bitbasic has recently played live at the Unique Beats Festival 2010 in Edinburgh as rec72 netlabel mates Pandacetamol did in 2009. Simon has also been performing live at Cologne Commons festival 2010.

Shiver Me Timbres by Pandacetamol is a pure manifesto of sophisticated Electronica that sounds like Scottish pioneering electronic music from the 1990’s beamed up to the present time. The current Pandacetamol album delivers 50 minutes of gloomy downtempo doodlings, where The Black Dog goes snoopy and Plaid the cat is jumping on a hot tin roof.

The majority of Pandacetamol tracks are recorded in one take and then edited and polished as required.  They wholeheartedly believe that this method of capturing the musical “moments” as they happen when a jam is in process is an essential component in conjuring electronic music that has an organic atmosphere and emotional edge.  Dark but filled with hope, hypnotic but constantly morphing, opulent but sinister, their tracks are bite-sized journeys which together make up a full tasty meal of sound.  Each of their EPs and albums are carefully composed to be enjoyed as a whole.

Biography Pandacetamol

Pandacetamol are Paul Alexander and Mark Rushbury, a pair of bald blokes who originally hail from Glasgow in Scotland.  They possess a genuine passion for sound and synthesis and love jamming on their bargain vintage analogue synths and shiny grooveboxes.  The result of these jams are musical doodlings that are ethereal, dark, funky, beautiful and strange all at once.

Previous exploits in Pandacetamol noise-sharing have included three albums released on the wonderful experimental ambient netlabel Earth Monkey Productions.  Unleashed to the public throughout 2008 and 2009, the albums  “Heavy Concentration”, “The Mystery of Spyglass Hill” and “Nocturnal” have gathered over 6000 downloads between them to date and are all still available for free on the internet archive.

The new mono single U.G.L.Y. is a bas(s)tard, a mix of UK sprung Jungle, a clever play between ugly tuff beats, and some heavy guitars; pouring down on Zoe.LeelA’s instinctiveness and voice. Forget about vulcano stories you might have heard: U.G.L.Y.  is a stunner.

Zoe.LeelA’s performance on her new mono single is pushing the limits of pop and glamour being punched with some punk on the dancefloor,  as the German Press coined her own style and genre.

nisei23’s album Soft Shapes is an overture of Drone-driven and melodic textures & rhythmic loops at the same time. It is product of over 3 years of work. nisei23’s music on this album is designed to be amorphous, shifting through time and space. Soft Shapes contains 19 Tracks, including extensive cover arts and release credits.

“It’s like a dream where everything is familiar but everything is different”, he confesses. The sounds on his album were carefully constructed from acoustic instruments and natural sounds which were manipulated and molded into drones, rhythmical loops and melodic patterns. The only exception was “Don’t Panic” which is entirely electronic. The melodies themselves are equally unconventional, sometimes with slow and subtle movements and other times making dramatic and unexpected twists.

Artist Info

nisei23 aka. Rob Allen is currently living in Bangkok and has been making music and visuals for many years. In april 2010 he will also be releasing his Bare Bones EP via Lona Records. Rob also contributed with his eclectic remix track I love Special K to the remix album Fragment – Consider Revising by label mate Radio Scotvoid (half of Small Radio duo).
