We celebrate our fifth birthday with the release - yes, our 100th! - of a special compilation of cover versions, remixes, and tracks about free, legal music. We hope you'll celebrate with us.

The release of the 100th free album download on WM Recordings (www.wmrecordings.com) is rapidly approaching. We have lots of activities coming up to celebrate this milestone. One of the projects surrounding our 100th free album will be a specially themed compilation:

We have already invited you to submit a cover version of your favorite WM Recordings tracks, but since so many people asked about it we will expand the theme of our compilation.

So, for our 100th free release please sumbit one of the following:
- a cover version of your favorite WM Recordings tune
- OR an original track based around the theme of free music downloads, netlabels, Creative Commons releases, file sharing, bittorrent sites, copyright, etc. So, wanna write a blues about the joy you get from new WM Recordings releases? Or do you have a protest song about all those evil file sharers? Please submit it for our 100th free release!

TRooRG is a netlabel for electro-organic dance music.

Founded by Flo el Dot in Germany in 2004, the label was active until 2007. In august 2009 TRooRG was adopted by WM Recordings. We plan to resurrect and expand it, without sacrificing its original philosophy

TRooRG's mission is to promote danceable electronic music, based on organic or natural samples, sounds and structures, and to merge experimental weirdness with complaisant audibility.

The release of the 100th free album download on Dutch label WM Recordings is rapidly approaching. We have lots of activities coming up to celebrate this milestone. One of the projects surrounding our 100th free album will be the release of an album of cover version of tracks from the WM Recordings catalog.

Pick your favorite WM Recordings track from www.wmrecordings.com and... cover it!

We'll post submission guidelines on our site very soon, but you're already invited to start submitting your cover versions.

The rules are simple: the track(s) must have been released by WM Recordings and your version should not be longer than 5 minutes. Also keep in mind that a remix does not count as a cover version. Mail info@wmrecordings.com if you have any questions or if you have more great ideas to celebrate our 100th free album!

Fans of Dutch label WM Recordings will be delighted to know that more than 500 tracks from WM's catalog have been added to the Free Music Archive so far.

Latest addition is Happy Elf's "Together", an uplifting electropop album from 2006, which features the cult hit "My MySpace". We've also just added "Dada Work Chant", a free improv album by German noise makers Zloty Dawai.

In 2008 WM Recordings gladly agreed to host Volume 2 of Wakka Chikka Wakka Chikka - Porn Music For The Masses on it's website, which meant that once again; people all over the globe were able to listen to and enjoy the soundtrack to their innermost fantasies.

Since the 2004 release of Wakka Chikka Wakka Chikka - Porn Music For The Masses Vol. 1 (with over 250,000 downloaded files to date!) on Comfortstand.com, the needs of the masses for new and exciting porn music tunes produced by artists from all over over the world has been temporarily met. Now the people have a new dose of "Porn Music Magic" to swing to/by. 20 tunes of porn groovieness and 1 bonus track with a 'Behind The Scenes' look at the industry will be sure to titillate even the most repressed listeners. It's time to turn those lights down low again, and get it on - Wakka Chikka Wakka Chikka!

Hot on the heels of our partnership with LegalTorrents comes more good news: we are now officially a "content distributor" at Mininova, the biggest torrent search engine and directory on the net.
